What happens if I try to delete a field or step that powers conditional logic?

Growform allows you to build dynamic forms with powerful conditional logic.

But with great power comes great responsibility: it could be possible to build a form with logical errors that are impossible to complete.

Luckily, Growform will prevent you from deleting certain fields or steps that would lead to such an occasion.

For example:

• You try to delete a field that "powers" conditional logic further in the form journey
• You try to delete a step that contains a field that "powers" conditional logic further in the form journey

In these cases, Growform will present you with an error message that looks like one of the following:

In both of these examples, Growform is telling us that we cannot delete the field - as a field or step later on in the form relies on it.

The solution in either scenario is to simply remove the conditional logic later in the form.
